Conservation Builders

Based in the Cotswolds and Principal Contractor at the award Winning Lower Mill Estate. The lower Mill Estate is a collection of exclusive and private villages, committed to ecological best practice, with wonderful facilities set within 600 acres. Deckbuilders have contracted to Conservation Builders for the past 8 years installing high quality, practical deck solutions for their bespoke properties. Our services their not only include decked balconies and jetties but bridges, spiral staircases and rooftop terraces.

Oakford Homes

Deckbuilders were commissioned by Oakford Homes to help Design and Construct the Cycle Link and staircase from their newly completed site in East Lavant. This was somewhat tricky due to the steepness of the bank down to the tarmaced Cycleway below. We used engineered glue laminated beams and columns for the sub structure and Iroko deck boards for the finished surface. On the ramps we incorporated antislip inserts for extra grip. As you can see, when you put your mind to it, there’s not a lot you cannot achieve in timber!

Three Pines Construction

This being one of the last projects completed in 2010. We were commissioned to create two areas at a School in Wolverhampton. One of these being an access ramp to the main building and the other creating an outdoor classroom area with Canopies. Again using anti-slip inserts in our softwood deckboards. This had handrail, gates and benches incorporated into the design.

Crookhill Primary School

Gateshead Council brought the skills and knowledge of the Deckbuilders Team very early on in the planning of the refurbishment of Crookhill Primary School. Various challenges faced the Deckbuilders Design Team, such as creating a safe, raised access area for the Children to enter the school where the Entrance door is approximately five foot above ground level. But also to include into the design a lift to allow any disabled pupils access too. Deckbuilders used a mixture of treated softwood for the Balustrade and Iroko hardwood deckboards with aggregate inserts for the finished surface.

AC Lloyd

When A C Lloyd needed a commercial decking solution for a small collection of properties, they choose Deckbuilders to assist them in both the Design and Installation. Giving their Clients a seamless transition from House to Garden.

J & S Seddon Ltd

J&S Seddon utilised the experience and capabilities of Deckbuilders to help design and construct an outdoor classroom for a Primary School in Staffordshire. One awkward point to overcome was height as the classroom was to be raised 5ft in the air and have a fixed roof structure on top. Deckbuilders achieved this and subsequently were asked to return to design an “under Deck” play area for the younger children to play in.

Elan Homes

We commissioned by Elan Homes to design and install three decks to a small development in Cheshire. Designed to gain access to the rear of the property, these decks also incorporated a flight of steps leading down to the gardens.

Gedling Borough Council

Deckbuilders was commissioned to install a raised walkway and veranda for the Bowling Club. We used treated softwood deckboards with anti-slip resin inserts. The Veranda was enclosed with our standard handrail system and encompassed a staircase to both ends.

Bloor Homes

Confronted with a steep site Bloor homes have been left with little option than utilize the expertise of Deckbuilders to help overcome the various height issues they have to a number of the properties they are building. Deckbuilders have installed a number of staircases and decks to gain access to the front and rear.

Gateshead Council

When confronted with a difficult access area for a school Gateshead Council sort the advice and expertise of Deckbuilders (UK) Ltd to achieve not only an outdoor reception area for the children but also a built in lift to help any disabled members of the school. We incorporated an Iroko Deckboard with anti-slip inserts to increase grip.

Persimmon

Initially commissioned for a 3 properties on an Estate in the South West it quickly became noticeable what a difference high quality deck structures can make to a property.
We have now completed in excess of 25 decks.

Taylor Wimpey

We have completed a number of projects for Taylor Wimpey in the South West on sites where the nature of the land prevents most typical access methods. The Decks give the houses that little bit extra Wow factor for potential Homeowners.

Seasons Holidays

When asked to design and install three circular “lilly Pads” into the main lake at Clowance House in Cornwall, Deckbuilders were delighted to rise to the challenge.

Complimenting the design with sweeping curved staircases and iron handrails, the lateral design combined with a level of carpentry that can only be described as almost ‘genius’, broke every standardised rulebook of what most DIY enthusiasts perceive to be ‘decking’!

Once again ensuring that Deckbuilders carried out the project, meeting with its own ‘technical standards’, deadline and budget, Deckbuilders found themselves physically up to the neck with water in the chill of December, proving that they will go to any lengths to maintain their reputation for being arguably the best commercial decking company in the UK.

Morris Homes

When it came to a solution for properties with difficult access, Morris Homes could have easily opted for an alternative solution to Decking. However, with choice materials, competitive pricing and clear logical designs, it soon became obvious to Morris Homes that Deckbuilders were the company to use.

Hurstwood Developments

We have recently completed two roof terraces in our own profiled softwood deck boards, with intricate handrail and seating for the client.

Hurstwood Developments specialise in the development of high quality prestigious homes in the UK. Deckbuilders recently became involved on a number of roof terraces for some of their penthouse suites.

Lower Mill Estate

Lower Mill Estate is located just outside Cirencester. A fantastic development of holiday homes designed to attract affluent investors. With 200 homes completed and a further 300 with planning permission, Martin Wright of Conservation Builders is delighted with the decking work that Deckbuilders have carried out to date.

Initially in 2003 Deckbuilders was commissioned to install a main deck area, a balcony and a jetty to each home, it was soon evident that Deckbuilders ability to supply a logical decking solution to all environments, exceeded Conservation Builder’s expectations. As a result, in addition Deckbuilders were commissioned to also install a number of bridges around the estate and an expanse of hardwood decking around the state of the art leisure complex.

Further projects are due to commence through 2011.

Strongvox Ltd

]When it came to providing the complex exterior solution for two high level Devon houses, each with a 3 metre drop to the rear garden, Mr Basham of Strongvox Limited called upon the expertise of Deckbuilders UK Ltd.

Timber decking specialists in split-level and alternative decking solutions, regardless of location and project size, Deckbuilders took pride in supplying an excellent pre-service including detailed NHBC compliant designs, calculations and competitive pricing.

East Park School

Contracted by Wolverhampton Council Deckbuilders were asked to Design and Install an outdoor “Play” Terrace for the younger Children.

We choose a simple rectangular design with handrail on both sides to help alleviate any problems as the deck was slightly raised.
