Commercial Decking

As specialists in the design and construction of decks and timber structures, Deckbuilders creates unique outdoor working and living environments on any scale or difficulty. We work with Architects, Schools, Developers, Councils and House Builders, creating a wide range of Commercial Decking structures and solutions from access decks, ramps and bridges to outdoor classrooms and highly engineered cycle links. Surveyors and Engineers enjoy working with us due to our extensive knowledge and skills which is backed up by being able to produce CAD drawings showing exactly what is to be constructed.

A key requirement of any Commercial Decking structure is that it is built correctly. Deckbuilders was commissioned by the Timber Decking and Cladding Association to assist in writing the NHBC Code of Practice for Timber Decking. The aim being to set a standard that every deck company should adhere to.

All installation teams are fully Health & Safety compliant, holding the relevant CSCS certification card and DBS checked. Deckbuilders uses a specialist Health and Safety Management Team to facilitate on site compliance and manufacturing.

Our drafting department uses a bespoke CAD system developed by Deckbuilders to produce detailed designs. These 3D isometric drawings gives our clients a precise plan of what the design will look like and how it will be structured. We machine and process all timbers used in our projects so we can be sure that only top quality timber is used and a high quality finish can be achieved.

We have created contemporary outdoor spaces for offices, pubs, restaurants, rooftop terraces and functional space for outdoor meetings. Recent projects include creating a large pavilion roof deck for the National Trust at Cardingmill Village and refitting an internal courtyard for City Office Interiors in Birmingham.

We have maximised the exterior space for colleges, schools and nurseries with outdoor classrooms that incorporate canopies, DDA compliant access ramps, seating areas, meeting areas and outdoor play-spaces for younger children. Our projects include creating access ramps and outdoor classrooms for Three Pines in Wolverhampton and a safe raised play area for Crookhill Primary School in Gateshead.
